Our waitress was never around, we received one refill the entire time we were there, when she brought us our food I asked for a refill and we ended up finishing our meal (what we could eat of it) before she ever even made it back with a refill. All though the place wasn't even busy.
The bartender needs more training, I ordered the perfect Margarita and they should rename it the Worst Margarita. No salt and just tasted like a bunch of margarita mix.
The mananger never once walked up to any tables asking how everything was, He wad just worried about staring at the hostess the entire time.
When I got the ticket/total it was $40 because my niece was playing on the tablets they have on the table and apparently ordered a game for $1.99 by accident. Why let children access something like that to begin with? They don't understand they are being charged. I didn't know that the tip would be added in at the end as well, so I left a $10 bill on the table as a tip, then I was still charged another $7 for the tip on my credit card. So I basically left a $17 dollar tip for a $40 meal, of which we could only eat half of the food from because it was so awful.
Worst 50.00 ever spent. Only good thing abouy our dining experience was out server Jarvis.
Walked in to a quiet restaurant with not many people in. Servers are hanging out at the bar no one to sit us for 4-5 minutes while the said servers were looking at us standing there. Got to the table and waited 10-15 minutes for the server so we can order drinks. Took the server 10 minutes to get the drinks. Very inattentive server and smelled like smoke. Food was good though which is the only positive thing I can say. I go to use the bathroom before I leave there is paper towels everywhere, it smells horrible in the bathroom and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in a few days. Very displeased with this particular Applebee's would rather go to chili's right around the corner.
Since I did eat the chicken I decided not to complain and to just get a burger to go for later. When I got the burger home later it was way over cooked, it was dry, the bread was dry and the edges of the bread were burnt and once again the fries that came with it were way over cooked. I honestly didn't even eat it.
I took my niece here for her birthday. The first issue is we ordered chicken tenders/fries and bourbon chicken and shrimp. Her fries were not good, they were over cooked and she barely ate any of them. The bourbon chicken was seasoned really well but the shrimp tasted like rubber, I couldn't even eat the potatoes that came with it as well, they were over cooked, not seasoned and everything including the chicken (even though it was good) tasted like the black pot/pan dish it was served on.
While getting ready to hit the road back to Texas we stopped off for some Applebee's, I had a steak salad ...not enough steak to call it that, you know here in Texas we do it big, but anyways great and friendly staff, very attentive waitress, I would have given it 5
The food was disgusting. Had to chew the mest forever and it was so tough and overcooked. The chicken is made out of processed chicken, Mcdonalds would have been a way better meal than this place and that says alot!
Got sat down and sat and sat and sat. Not 1 person came to give us drinks,take our order but the manager was able to bring out desert for himself and sit down. 2 door greeters..4 waitresses and 1 waiter all looked directly at me looking and trying to get thier attention! But 2 at a time could go outside and smoke. Totally not going back to this place ...we have a separate crews 2 wks at a time in hammond and they just cost themselves a ton of business.
We were really disappointed with the entire experience. To sum it up we couldn't eat half of the food we received, the server was never around, I got charged for a game that my niece ordered by accident, we were seated behind a really annoying teenage boy who kept making noise/yelling randomly (not applebees fault) but it made the already bad experience even worse, then to finish it all off I paid a $17 tip for a server I saw twice the entire hour we were there.
My niece isn't a brat so she didn't say anything but I could tell she was getting disappointed at the noise behind us. At the fact she never had a drink again after the first one and that she couldn't even eat half of her food. I could tell she was disappointed by the entire situation-on her birthday which made it even worse.
