The resteraunt has a very eclectic "road house" vibe. The menu is limited. Food is good. All the food was Luke warm. Even the fries, which is the only reason I didn't give it 5 stars.
Was excited to see a new family restaurant in Hammond. The building and decorating is outstanding and outdoor seating is great. I agree with other posters who say that the kitchen needs work. I went for lunch and ordered the brisket sandwiches with French onion soup. The sandwiches came after about 20 minutes. It was served on Texas toast with a thin layer of brisket crumble. Some was too tough to pull apart with your teeth. For a $12 sandwich, I would expect tender slices of brisket. The soup was ok but needed a little longer under broiler to brown the cheese and a little less salt.
I hope they get the food thing worked out because this could be a great and fun place to bring family and friends. If not, this place will not survive in South Louisiana with the competition.
The atmosphere is amazing. A really cool place. The food. Not so much. The Macaroni and Cheese was cold when it came and was mediocre in taste. I also paid $16 for 3 prices of brisket and 2 sides!! I can go to Texas and get Aaron Franklin's Brisket for $12 a pound. And that's considered high!! However the brisket was alright and the Corn Pudding was very good. However I did notice a fake smoke ring on the meat. A fake smoke ring is achieved when you take the meat refrigerator cold and put it directly on the grill. There are other ways to achieve it but that is the most common way and that is how I believe they did it. It's overall "Alright"
This place is awesome. We really enjoyed everything about it. Great food and the staff was great too. Loved the swings !
The building is so cool. There are so many neat things to see. Not your typical restaurant! The food is really good and the atmosphere is really fun for the adults and kids. Great place!
